Student enrollment is 371 with an average class size of 25 students. The grammar school
has sixteen full time teachers who have complete credentials from the State of California.
Support staff include part-time specialists: an instrumental program and a general music
teacher, school psychologist and speech therapist. An ESL (English as a Second Language)
instructor and two bilingual instructional aides, assist non-English speaking students.
All classrooms, K-5 has computers. Grades 2-5 learn keyboarding in
computer labs. Computers are used to extend the curriculum as well as to provide drill and
practice in basic skills. Printers are used in the upper grades to enhance the writing
process.
Through the School Improvement Plan (SIP), students are provided with many educational
enrichment opportunities that include field trips, special guest presenters, and
additional instructional materials.
